& this bit has been a tweet and my myspace status.. and will now be blabbed about on lj. my xbox bricked on me a couple of weeks ago and is on my way back to me right now. but when i went to the site to see if it had been shipped, a new serial number and "refurb pro" were listed under my consoles. WHAT? i want the xbox i paid 300$ for. i want my xbox. whatever - i don't really have a choice.

it gets better. any sane, logical person would think you'd get at least warranty on something like that, right? nope. same warranty for my original box is transferred. silly me. so now this one is covered until may like the last - i don't think that's fair. i understand they can't keep doling out warranties but seriously? unless you're going to send me a brand spankin new piece of merchandise, i think you should cover this heap since it bricking again is inevitable.

maybe i'm not thinking straight because i will never again see the luxury item i paid for and took excellent care of, only someones trashy old box that microsoft couldn't even put in a new case so it would at least look new. but seriously -- am i crazy?

that B is really pissing me off because i'm not sure i deserve it but i'm not going to argue. the 3.67 was good enough to raise my cumulative to a 3.53 which is bounds better than the 3.23 i was rocking last semester. 3.5 was my goal and i did it. just one more class to go.. have to make sure i focus in calculus.

ps: A- is just fine but the 'minus' tarnishes it. but would something like "almost an A but not quite" be worse? lol.

team loving it has been in key west since thursday. I have a sunburn (which is news for anyone who knows me), and have only had maybe 2 non-alcoholic drinks aside from my mid-drinking waters all weekend. we still have a few days left to love it.

I dont really have anything to post but I'm hanging out with everryone by the pool putzing around on my iPod and wanted to update. so far we've hit all the bars -- I could spend every night of my life on Duval st. -- and have been on a few daytime bike adventures, but we haven't done the other touristy things like pics at the southern most tip or been to the sunset celebration yet.

my frap is melting and its a pain to type on this thing... pics when we get back, I'm sure.

finals start tomorrow - studying for int'l mktg and mktg research, both with the same professor. i'm having a blast. a friend at school gave me the chocolate for my birthday.

my router? xbox? anything.

i got an xbox and everything was fine while i was the only one home. then my brother signed in and tried to play at the same time. two minutes later i lost my connection. we tried again and a few minutes later he got booted. this went on and on until he insisted i wait until he went to bed to play.

tonight i actually got through a match so i thought it was ok.. and then lost the connection. called, googled, etcetc.

anyone want to help in exchange for fresh baked cookies?

I guess I have someone to blame for my "fangirling". My mother was doing some serious cleaning today and I found this in a pile - I knew she was a trekkie, obviously, but I wasn't aware of the stash in her closet.

so i've got two options for my last class - take it over the summer july 7 - aug 7, MTWR 8:20 - 10:40 PM, or in the fall tues/thurs 8:20-10PM.

ohh, the choices.

sheesh, it only took me 17 hrs of playing time to be able to go positive most of the time. i think i'm at 25? tonight my kill/death and accuracy went way up so whatever, i'm pro. and by pro i mean all kinds of awful. my best of the night was 20 and 11 with 3 assists... which you know is spectacular if you've ever seen me attempt any game besides tetris.

i thought this was just a spring break fling but apparently i'm smitten.

i got to my first class this afternoon almost a half hour late because there was not a parking spot to be fought over, then found out it was the first class he didn't take attendance. good thing. then i ran over to put in my graduation application - i'm officially walking in may. i have to take my last class in the summer if they offer it or jump back in the fall for it. we'll see. i didn't want to walk before i was finished (fake grad, anyone?) but my mother insisted.

ran over to the library to pay my inexcusable $17 late fee, studied for a bit, waited at the bursar for an hour, went to law, came home to fix cooper. i haven't used my own laptop since christmas which i guess is what inspired me to post the official logged minutes of my day. he's in excellent shape and i'm so thrilled it isn't even funny. plus i backed everything up instead of being stubborn so i'm even in a good mood. amazing.

i actually did things today. or maybe the its the "graduation" word thats got me feeling accomplished. probably. i have absolutely nothing due on or scheduled for tuesday so i can relax.

a day or two before each semester begins i make time to pick up some basics to replenish stock. for me, that's 5 black and white mead composition notebooks and a package of blue papermates (no grip). no exceptions.

anyway, their notebooks are heaps of shit all of a sudden. flimsy, poorly bound.. terrible. i nearly had a breakdown last night. i guess i have ocdish tendencies when it comes to some things. even explaining what happened is kind of upsetting me right now, lol. at least i realize how ridiculous i sound. i found 2 old-style meads in with old school stuff that were basically unused and 2 in the supply closet at the office. of course, if i can't find a 5th ill have to switch to a binder or something but i'm hoping it doesn't come to that. or maybe i won't need a notebook for 1... it happens.

this reminds me of when the papermates went from white and light blue to light blue and then all of a sudden switched to the see-through dark blue. i'm lucky they wrote the same or i probably would have had a heart attack.

oh well

black friday. usually i make a huge list of all the movies, shows, etc that i need/want and get a basic idea of how much i'll be spending and then head out to shop.. not in the morning, but 1-2 hours before the stores close. always successful. i guess i have bad taste. this year my brother wants to get a tv so i promised i'd bring him bright and early to best buy.

i know this is a bad idea, don't worry.

we went by there around 11pm to see what was going on and there were already 100-150 people camping out. and i mean camping literally. the 15th person on line was a kid we knew, and he had been there since 1pm. people are out of their minds. i'd rather drop the extra couple hundred on item x and not wait on line, outside, in november, thank you very much.

he still wants to try, so i'll be getting trampled by crazy middle aged women shortly. i'm pretty much being paid an easy hundo to do this which takes me many more hours to accumulate at work so whatever. i'm bright eyed and ready to shop.

i have a terrible writer's bump. i never paid any attention to it until about two minutes ago. do people notice it? what about if someone holds my hand? bleh. i don't think anyone i know has one, though its possible since i haven't even been paying attention to my own.

of course i googled it. a few things came up.. people complaining about it, wanting to get rid of it, some who haven't had one in years because they've been out of school or it faded since computers popped up.

i don't keep a journal or write letters. i guess mine's still around because i take a lot of notes. a lot. not sure i need to, though, as most of my professors have either given out notes or used powerpoint. i like notes.. they help everything "sink in". (+ i have great handwriting). it actually annoys me when i find out i can't just take traditional notes at the beginning of a semester. but i love typing, too, so you'd think i'd just cart cooper around with me..

who writes this much about a finger? heh.

in the last month i have flown across the country and back, eaten fried oreos and zeppole at the same time (paula deen would be proud), celebrated our annual wig night, had a kings park weekend, and was in attendance as the islanders won in overtime with less than 4 seconds on the clock. & halloween is creeping up on us!

this weekend i'll probably pick up my vmars dvd and have a marathon as i have no plans. strange.
